Hello Conservation Volunteers,
A great turnout of 23 today, the best this winter so far. Many thanks to those who came this morning and helped spread out the road planings on the paths leading up to the Mi Amigo Memorial. The paths are much better for it and will be ready for the 75th anniversary of the Mi Amigo crash on 22nd February. Andy Phillips, the Parks Manager, sent me an email complimenting you all on your efforts.
I am away during February. Ann le Sage will be dealing with the organisation of the work days in my absence. Chris Nicholson, Glyn Mansell and Stephen Ward will be leading the tasks on the February work mornings. At the moment the planned locations are as follows:
Thursday 14th February - Endcliffe Park. Holme Wheel Dam and area around Mi Amigo Memorial if required.
Tuesday 26th February - Porter Clough car park off Fulwood Lane. Clearance and cutting of scrub in the parking area and surrounding woodland.
Thanks again.
Dave Clegg
