Duck Prep

Hi Duck Enthusiasts,

Thank you to the stalwarts who came down to Endcliffe Park on Thursday for a last minute effort to prepare the Duck Race course.

The emphasis was on making sure there is a viable way through a river low on water after the recent dry weather. A great deal of rock moving and making of free flowing channels took place. A low dam was constructed at the start to provide a raised water level so that the ducks get a boost as they enter the brook.

One more poor lost duck was found under a rock. That makes five ducks found in the river in the last two work mornings.
