Hello Conservation Volunteers,
Many thanks to those of you who came to Forge Dam this morning. More progress was made on eliminating Himalayan Balsam in the wet woodland. Hopefully we now have it under control for this year. We also continued clearing overhanging branches along the track to Carr Bridge in preparation for vehicular access when the dam is de-silted. Some more holly was removed in the playground to improve light access. A team also carried out some much needed gardening in the vicinity of the cafe. A useful mornings work by all.
We are back at Forge Dam on Tuesday 23rd July so hope to see you there.
