Work Morning 27 April 2021

Many thanks to all those of you who came yesterday to Forge Dam and Bingham Park. A very good days work and a lot achieved. Forge Dam benefitted from wall building, path restoration, litter picking, gardening and tree surveying in Festival Woodland. Thanks to the group leaders there; Chris, Lyndon, Hilary and Ann. Thanks to Glyn in Bingham Park.

DRY STONE WALLING

Our Ranger Matt came along and helped to direct the wall building by the green space at Forge Dam. He has offered to give some training on dry stone wall building next Thursday 6th May. There will be two groups of 5 one in the morning and one after lunch, about 2 hours each. If you are interested in attending please let me know. Also steel capped boots are necessary. Matt may be able to lend you a pair but you must let us know your shoe size.

REPTILE SURVEY

Belinda Wiggs, Council Ecologist, is progressing the reptile survey in the valley next Tuesday 4th May. If you would like to come along and learn about it, please let me know. Start time 10.00am.

The next work morning will be on Thursday13th May. Lyndon will be organising that work morning.
